What is IRAN NFT?
The projectIran is one of the oldest continuous civilisations on earth: the Elamites and Medes, the empire of Cyrus and Darius, the Parthians and Sasanians, the poets and scientists of the Islamic centuries, the Safavid splendour of Isfahan, the turmoil and creativity of the modern age. IRAN NFT gathers that inheritance in one place, and gives it new ways to be seen, owned and lived in.
It is three things woven together: an archive you can read, a market where Iranian digital art finds collectors, and a world where players meet, craft, build and learn the stories of the land by walking through them.
Six doors
Where to beginEach opens on a part of the project. Begin wherever you like.
History
Dynasties from the Medes to the present, the rulers and governments of Iran, and the critical events that shaped it.
→Culture
The peoples of Iran, their manners and customs, festivals, and the people — poets, scientists, artists — who carried them.
→Art
Architecture from Persepolis to the Qajar palaces, handicrafts — tile, carpet, metal, wood — music and its instruments.
→NFT Bazaar
Digital works by Iranian artists, collected and traded on Solana — art with its provenance written on the chain.
→The Token
The project’s token on Solana: pledge it for darics, the coin of the world, under rules written down in public.
→The Metaverse
Walk into Naqsh-e Jahan Square, pass through its south gate to the plain of Pasargad, and see Persepolis at the height of its glory.
→A world to walk in
The metaverseSign in with a Solana wallet — or as a guest — choose one of the twelve characters your wallet holds, six men and six women dressed from the sources, and enter. Everything runs in the browser, on a phone too.
The great square of Safavid Isfahan, where everyone meets. Bozorgmehr the sage tells its tales and gives missions.
The Tomb of Cyrus in its garden, Cyrus's palace, the river Pulvar — and Persepolis whole, its halls furnished, the king on his throne.
Drill with the Immortals to rise in rank and command soldiers; found a tribe, raise its banner and its estate.
Hidden caves, the nest of the Phoenix, and caverns where a lake lies in the dark beside the shrine of Anahita.
- Gather clay, copper and timber; throw pots on the wheel and paint tiles by hand — each one a unique work.
- Buy land among 333 plots and build, piece by piece or block by block.
- Missions from the sage and from Ferdowsi, poet of the Shahnameh, with treasures found nowhere else.
- Ride Caspian and Nisaean horses — and, for the patient, raise a Phoenix and fly.
- Tribes make charters of alliance and peace, and settle feuds in battles of archery, wrestling, riddles and the banner.
- The sun and moon stand where they really stand over Fars and Isfahan, in Iran's own time.
The road so far
RoadmapThe archive done
History, culture and art of Iran, page by page — dynasties, peoples, customs, architecture, handicrafts, music and the people who made them.
The world opens done
Naqsh-e Jahan and the plain of Pasargad; Persepolis; crafting, the bazaar, land, horses, the sage, missions, caves and the Phoenix.
Army, tribes and war done
The camp of the Immortals, ranks and soldiers, tribes with estates and charters, battles between them; the caverns beneath; a town of 333 plots; room for hundreds of players at once.
The sealed gates
Three gates of the square still closed: the workshops of Isfahan (silk, madder, carpets, haft-rang tile), the Golestan Palace, and the city of today.
Daric and the token
A bridge between the coin of the world and the project token, and minting of masterwork pieces from the studios as NFTs on Solana.
What we hold to
PrinciplesHistory as it was
From the sources, with the scholarly debates noted where they exist — the Cyrus Cylinder is presented with the argument over calling it a charter of human rights.
